Q1 2025: A New Chapter Begins β London Flat Secured! π‘ + A Bold Career Move π
Q1 2025 has been transformational in every sense β both personally and professionally.
First, Iβve officially completed the purchase of my flat in London!
This marks a major milestone that blends lifestyle and long-term investment. While my liquid portfolio dipped to $344,500, this reflects a broader market pullback (including weaker performance from key positions like PayPal), alongside expenses tied to the property transition.
Starting this quarter, Iβm expanding how I track and share my financials. My real estate valuation is now part of my net worth, calculated as the agreed purchase price minus outstanding mortgage debt, converted to USD. Thanks to a weaker dollar, this also benefited from a currency tailwind.

In March, I made a bold professional leap β leaving a FAANG company to join a seed-stage hypergrowth startup.
This move was driven by the larger scope and impact of the role β but it also came with a substantial financial upside.
π My total liquid compensation is 40% higher than my initial FAANG offer, and given the recent drop in FAANG stock and weaker dollar relative to the pound, its real value today is 45% higher than what I would have earned had I stayed.
